Headshot Photographer St. Louis

Any Benefit to Reviewing your Headshot Photos DURING your Photo Session?

Are there any benefits of seeing your headshot photos during your photo session?

You get to learn a little photography jargon today! The word is “tethered” as in my camera is tethered to my laptop.

What that means is when the photographer takes your photo, the image will show up on their laptop, or monitor or iPad making it easy to see. It’s almost like magic.

Not all photographers do, but I strongly recommend that you work with a photographer that shoots tethered and can show you the images during your session.

Here’s why:

You get immediate feedback on your images allowing you and the photographer to adjust on the fly.

You’ll be able to see how your expressions are coming off. My clients find this very valuable when tweaking their facial expressions.

Most people are a little nervous about getting photographed, but are often pleasantly surprised when they see that they look much better than they had imagined.

You can fine tune your retouching preferences after seeing your images. This really helps with the editing process.

It’s a super efficient process because I’m able to help my clients pick out the images, plus they get everything wrapped up during the session. There’s no lingering selection task to do later.

When you put all these benefits together, you get great headshot photos that capture the absolute best version of you.

Hope that helps. See ya next time.
